I’m off to visit those great folks at the Obermann Center on Friday, and I want to share with you the cool new crowdfunding site I’ll be highlighting for them. It’s called Rally, and seems perfect for community projects.
You may have heard me wax on about the possibilities of crowdfunding sites like Petridish, Solar Mosaic, Lucky Ant , Social Teeth, (and of course, Kickstarter), but they really do seem full of untapped potential for graduate student funding. Now there’s Rally, and it looks like a great fit for those scholars focused on Public Engagement, like the Obermann Fellows.
What do you think? Have you used a crowdfunding site to fund a graduate school project or dissertation? Would you like to try? I’d love to hear from you!
